VTAC Session for Year 12 Parents and Students
This VTAC Community Session provides an overview of the 2019 – 2020 VTAC application process, including researching courses, submitting an application, SEAS, scholarships, offers and the ATAR. An information session usually runs for an hour including questions.

La Trobe University Aspire Applications
La Trobe University's Aspire applications open on June 1st, 2019. Looking for Year 12 applicants who have gained valuable skills, knowledge and experience through volunteering or who have made a positive contribution to their community, Aspire applicants can head into their VCE exams with an early offer! Aspire applications close on 31st August, 2019.

National Youth Science Forum STEM Program
The National Youth Science Forum offers residential STEM outreach programs (for current Year 11 students) designed to give students a broader understanding of the diverse study and career options available in STEM and encourage them to continue their studies in these fields.
Applications are open from March 1st to May 31st 2019.
New Work Order/Enterprise Skills
FYA in their new report New Work Order Report is calling for a national enterprise skills strategy to ensure young people are prepared for the economy of the future and equipped with the tools to drive economic and social progress. Enterprise skills are transferrable across different jobs and are a more powerful predictor of long-term job success and performance than technical knowledge. They include communication, project management, fnancial literacy, digital literacy and the ability to critically assess and analyse information, be creative and innovate.

2019 CGGS Careers Expo
The CGGS Careers Expo will be held on Wednesday 22nd May from 1.00 - 4.00pm. Open to students & parents from Years 9 - 12, all the major universities (including ANU) and other organisations such as the Defence Forces, EducationUSA and a Gap Year organisation (Schoolies Unearthed) will be present. Held in Robinson Hall & The Library, this is a great opportunity to have those career conversations without competing with thousands of others on an Open Day!

Students in Year 12 interested in medicine ( & some dentistry courses) will need to sit the compulsory UCAT (examination) when applying for one of the above career choices. Please check the UCAT website UCAT for a list of courses that require this test.
Registrations are now open but close on the 17th May, 2019. Testing will be hled between 1st & 31st July, 2019.
Bond University Scholarships
Bond University offers an extensive scholarship program to both domestic and international students, with values ranging from 25% scholarships to 100%. It is important to note that applications for the 2019 Scholarship Program for Australian Year 12 students opened on 23 April 2019. Students applying for the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship must submit their application by 1 August 2010. The closing date for all other scholarships is 6 September 2019.
Scholarship applications should be submitted online, students should note that only one application needs to be made, and students can apply for as many scholarships they are eligible for.
