Year 10 Work Experience

Our Year 10 students are out on work experience this week. They have been working since last October sourcing placements in a variety of organisations around the state. Our Year 10 staff and CGGS Careers Counsellor, Mrs Trish Dolan, are really looking forward to visiting some legal firms in town, the Austin hospital, veterinary practices @ different suburbs, CSIRO, the University of Melbourne, Tech Games Fest, accounting firms, landscape architects, design studios and many more.

VTAC Session for Year 12 Parents and Students

This VTAC Community Session provides an overview of the 2019 – 2020 VTAC application process, including researching courses, submitting an application, SEAS, scholarships, offers and the ATAR. An information session usually runs for an hour including questions.

La Trobe University Aspire Applications

La Trobe University's Aspire applications open on June 1st, 2019. Looking for Year 12 applicants who have gained valuable skills, knowledge and experience through volunteering or who have made a positive contribution to their community, Aspire applicants can head into their VCE exams with an early offer! Aspire applications close on 31st August, 2019.

New Work Order/Enterprise Skills

FYA in their new report New Work Order Report is calling for a national enterprise skills strategy to ensure young people are prepared for the economy of the future and equipped with the tools to drive economic and social progress. Enterprise skills are transferrable across different jobs and are a more powerful predictor of long-term job success and performance than technical knowledge. They include communication, project management, fnancial literacy, digital literacy and the ability to critically assess and analyse information, be creative and innovate.

Year 10 VCE Preparation/Careers Day

All Year 10 students will take part in a full day workshop held on campus on Wednesday 26 June from 8:25am - 3:25pm.
Students will be involved in a number of sessions designed to provide vital VCE and subject selection information, and encourage thought and discussion about the future. 

Bond University Scholarships

Bond University offers an extensive scholarship program to both domestic and international students, with values ranging from 25% scholarships to 100%.   It is important to note that applications for the 2019 Scholarship Program for Australian Year 12 students opened on 23 April 2019.  Students applying for the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship must submit their application by 1 August 2010.  The closing date for all other scholarships is 6 September 2019

Scholarship applications should be submitted online, students should note that only one application needs to be made, and students can apply for as many scholarships they are eligible for.
