National Careers Week

National Careers Week is an initiative of the Career Industry Council of Australia and aims to celebrate careers, career development, career development services, and career development practitioners. It also promotes the economic, social and personal benefits of career development for all Australians.

Work Experience

Work Experience is flexible in 2021!  Some of our students have already explored opportunities during the April break. Another group have organised work experience in the week, Monday 7th - Friday 11th June. Well done, Year 10s!
Yet others have committed to placements in the July and Sept/Oct break! Great initiative, girls!

La Trobe University Aspire Applications

La Trobe University's Aspire applications open 19th  April. Looking for Year 12 applicants who have gained valuable skills, knowledge and experience through volunteering or who have made a positive contribution to their community, Aspire applicants can head into their VCE exams with an early offer! La Trobe University Aspire Program

2021 CGGS Tertiary Careers Expo

The CGGS Tertiary Careers Expo will be held on Wednesday 16th June from 11.00am - 4.00pm. Open to students & parents from Years 9 – 12, most of the major universities will be present. ANU, Bond University, University of Tasmania and the Australian Defence Forces will also be showcasing the best of their courses. Held in Robinson Hall & the Library, this is a great opportunity to have those course & career conversations without competing with thousands of others on an Open Day!

Year 10 VCE Subject InformationDay

All Year 10 students will take part in a full day workshop held on campus on Monday 21st  June from 8:25am - 3:25pm.
Students will be involved in a number of sessions designed to provide vital VCE and subject selection information, and encourage thought and discussion about possible VCE pathways. This will be followed by a 'Year 10 
→ VCE Information Evening for Parents' on Tuesday 22nd June.
